Long Overdue Update For Centulator.

Centulator first hit the App Store on May 7, 2010. I can hardly believe it was that long ago! At the time, it was one of only a small handful of percentage calculators and was priced at 69p. I never intended to turn it into “the Swiss Army Knife of percentage calculators” and so I’ve released just six updates to it since then, consisting of only minor improvements.

With the introduction of Apple’s new programming language earlier this year (Swift) and a very different look to their most recent operating systems, I decided it was the perfect time to completely re-write Centulator. The last update was released on November 19, 2011, so this feels like both an achievement and a relief after having meant to do it for so long.

The new version still does only what I originally designed it to do, but it’s been completely rebuilt from scratch in Swift and has a totally new interface — and a new web site. Not bad for a weekend’s ‘work’ in front of the telly with a stinking head cold :o)

Centulator 1.6 is in the hands of the review team at Apple right now; when it hits the App Store in a few days’ time, it will be free of charge.
